This song is repeatedly running through my head, wherever I am.

I came across this song by the Swedish artist, Anna von Hausswwollf this morning, it’s incredible. The pipe organ certainly adds something. Perhaps you should focus more on the sound and less on the rather morbid title.
I discovered Angel Olsen on NPR radio. Her voice reminds me of singers like Doris Day or Petula Clark. Her voice resonates from another time. Another one of her songs I seem to be enamored with is “If It’s Alive, It Will”.
Fascinating documentary that really opened my eyes to the the issue of “gendercide”, and sex selected abortions in the world. The issue is more prevalent then ever, and isn’t lessoning like I had assumed before watched this documentary. Awareness is the first step towards action. This film was found on Netflix.
“Love is a force”. “Change comes about by millions of tiny acts.” Really thought provoking documentary. Plus the director rides his bike to work and lives in a trailer community…even though he directed Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty…he gave it all away. He figured it out.
“Feminism isn’t dead, it’s evolving”.
I’ve recently been devouring information, books, articles, and blogs about the movement of empowering women worldwide. I think this is what brought me to teaching at Deva Yoga, because the director of the studio’s main goal is to empower women and teens through yoga, art, and outdoor discovery. It’s stressing that so many women are abused, abandoned, and deprived of their human rights in so many corners of our world, including our own. But it’s heartening to hear people are actively seeking change. This documentary features two journalists, a married couple, who shine the spotlight on a variety of strong women who are trying to change the way women are treated in their communities. It’s powerful and it will make you want to go do something. So watch the trailer, watch the documentary. Find ways to help.
I saw this one and decided to stay up and watch at least five more of Andreas videos tonight. I chose that, instead of sleeping. So brilliant. A breath of fresh air and honesty. What an amazing human being with such talent!
My sister Mary organized a trip through her college club called The Green Team. We drove about two hours out of Chicago to Sawyer, Michigan. It was a blustery cold day! I only lasted out on the dunes about 15 minutes before I was begging to be let back inside. Thus I spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening curled up on a couch in her friends cabin. It was a success though, plenty of Cranium, hot chocolate, and fireside chats!
I gave a little review of this awesome speech below. But it would better serve you if you watch it yourself!
